Imagine the school run.

It’s a fairly routine event for most families in the First world – we don’t think twice about loading our kids into the family car and dropping them off at school, or double checking they have their bus pass just before waving them goodbye as they board the school bus for another day of fun and learning.

With public transport options here in First World, most parents don’t have to worry about accessibility with their children getting to and from school.

However, this is not the situation for all children in other parts of the world.

Our goal is to raise $60,000 + by mid 2022 to be able to purchase one or two 12- seater buses (new or quality second hand) to transport the orphan children to and from school.

P4K has in the past, funded the purchase of busses for Orphans in Sierra Leone, PNG contributed to orphans in Kenya, Madagasgar and Zambia;
now its Fiji’s turn.

The existing Bus sits in the yard with a dead engine and the cost to repair is uneconomical.

But with your help, we can get the kids to school and back safe and sound.

The situation at the Orphanage.

In First world, transportation is a privilege we often take for granted. One that the children at St Tabitha’s Greek Orthodox Orphanage in Fiji, no longer have.

Before the COVID outbreak, the children were transported to their respective primary and high schools in an old van from the Orphanage. This was a run that Sister Anysia used to do every morning and afternoon. She would take one group of children, then come back to the orphanage for the next group of children – and then for the final group (as the van was not big enough for all of them).
